Giving Tuesday on December 2 – For Sign needed at St. Vincent Cemetery

December 2 is Giving Tuesday – the time of year when we consider end-of-year charitable tax deductible donations.

We have a lot to be thankful for this year regarding the successful construction of the St. Vincent Cemetery Memorial Groves during the spring of 2025.  However a sign is needed for St. Vincent Cemetery.

We are asking you to consider sending a donation to help pay for the installation of a sign at St. Vincent Cemetery.   St. Vincent de Paul Church established a restricted account for St. Vincent Cemetery.  A donation to St. Vincent de Paul Church is tax deductible.

A donation check can be made out to St. Vincent de Paul Church.  In the memo line write for St. Vincent Cemetery.  The check can be mailed to:

St. Vincent de Paul Church
120 N. Front Street
Baltimore, MD  21202

Thank you for your kind attention to this request.

We are down to the home stretch!
We are ready to build a memorial to the deceased of St. Vincent Cemetery

After years of clearing away overgrowth and debris, researching the names of the dead in countless archives, and growing a community of volunteers, we are ready for the final step of building a memorial.

The plan includes moving the remaining 144 gravestones to the proposed memorial area, which will be close to the driveway.

Mr. Ray Heil, RLA, an established local landscape architect, created the plan for the memorial, and Joe Godlewski will make the plan a reality. Joe has worked on the grounds previously by clearing two critical areas at St. Vincent Cemetery.

An estimate of the cost includes excavating, grading, material (such as lumber, stone, and stone-dust), and placing all gravestones.

           Project estimate                     …………………………….. $42,314
Friends of St. Vincent Cemetery bank account  $31,000
Needed to complete project …………………………….. $11,314

Consider this the last request for a donation. It will get us to the finish line. Any amount will be appreciated. Also, any suggestions for other fund raising will be appreciated.
